The Career Of An Immigration Lawyer - 1784 Words

This paper explores the career of an immigration lawyer. It goes through the different possibilities within the career, and the different opportunities to choose from. This paper examines the different areas in which an immigration lawyer can focus on; not only does it explore the options for a lawyer but also gives brief descriptions of the EOIR, USCIS, BIA, and ICE which are different areas of immigration in which an immigration lawyer has to work with or against to help whomever they are representing. The EOIR stands for Executive Office of Immigration review; USCIS is United States Citizenship and Immigration Services; BIA is Board of Immigration Appeals; and ICE is Immigrations and Customs Enforcements. It also briefly describes the necessary requirements for becoming a lawyer, and more information regarding the desired career. Along with information about the various possibilities within the career, it will also explain a brief outline of the history of immigration and how th e career option came about. Career as an Immigration Lawyer A great career to pursue for a person who strongly desires to help people is a lawyer. Lawyers are people who practice law, and most of them specialize in a specific field in which they decide is their passion.
